Cultivated in India, the scent is distilled from the Vetiver root, a grass that grows to 5 feet in height, of long thin and rigid vibrant green rods. The oil produced is vicious and amber in colour. In aromatherapy, is it known to calm the nervous system and act as a restorative salve to the senses. Vetiver was introduced into the Floris fragrance collection in 1873. The exotic aromas, vibrant colours, and energy of India were bottled in this scent.
