Celebrate International Nurses Day and what would have been the 203rd Birthday of Florence Nightingale with The White Rose Appeal. Floris has had a long-standing relationship with the founder of modern nursing, cherishing a letter from her dating back to 1863, which can still be discovered in our museum at 89 Jermyn Street.
THE WHITE ROSE APPEAL
To commemorate the birth of Florence Nightingale, the Florence Nightingale Foundation launched ‘The White Rose Appeal’ with help from the appeal ambassador, Helena Bonham Carter. The White Rose Appeal was launched in 2020 to continuously help nurses and midwives, raising money to provide emotional and wellbeing support as well as providing scholarships to the best nurses and midwives in the UK allowing them to make a real difference to patient care, policy and practice in their chosen field.

Floris’ White Rose fragrance was a favourite of Florence Nightingale, having bottles shipped out to her during her time in the Crimea war. A Letter from Florence is still on display and treasured in our Jermyn Street shop where she expresses her gratitude to Mr. Floris and her favourite fragrance White Rose.
