Rose Geranium was first introduced by Floris in 1890 when pink geranium was added to the existing Geranium fragrance. We are incredibly fortunate to have a receipt in our museum at 89 Jermyn Street dated December 1959, showing a purchase of 6 bottles of Rose Geranium made for Marilyn Monroe Miller while she stayed at Beverly Hills Hotel, California.

    My favourite scent

    I have been buying the Rose Geranium bath essence for years and the bath and shower gel when it was available. This was following a piece in a newspaper where Maya Angelou said it was what she loved to use in the shower back in the 1990's! I would love to be able to afford the perfume but the bath essence is the next best thing! Please bring back tbe bath and shower gel. The scent, as I believe Maya Angelou said, lingers through the house.

    Confused

    I had high hopes for Floris Rose Geranium Bath Essence, especially knowing it was a favorite of Marilyn Monroe. Unfortunately, the scent didn’t match my expectations. It has a slightly rubbery undertone, rather than the fresh, herbaceous fragrance I was hoping for. Despite the luxurious price, it feels underwhelming and lacks the intensity I anticipated. I’m still hoping to find a way to make it work, but right now, I’m disappointed with the purchase.
