First brought to popularity by the Duchess of Parma, the violet scent was equally admired by Queen Victoria who was reputed to have worn a violet fragrance on her wedding day in 1840. In celebration of the native flower and as a featured fragrance of the time, Floris launched an English Violet Encore Eau de Parfum in 1919 as well as introducing the original Violet Mouthwash to its range of toothbrushes and tooth powders.
