Malmaison Zugabe

I'm not sure how many years ago I bought Malmaison Encore, ages. And loved it. I was so happy to buy it again because it seemed rarely available. It's one of the best, for sure.

Full Disclosure: I purchased this particular Perfume while living in UK in 2018. At that time it was a part of the Ledger Collection only available at the London Shop and hand poured in person. It was the most beautiful fragrance in a special gold/glass bottle, hand labeled. Im still in love with it. Im not sure if this is the same formula but Id give it a try... if I were you.

I’d been saving up for this perfume as I loved the original Malmaison so much. I know that can’t be brought back.

It’s a delicate & pretty fragrance & doesn’t seem to last for long.

I’d prefer it if it was more spicy.

My favourite perfume ever was Malmasion. I loved the spicy notes, I felt divine wearing it. When it was discontinued I was devastated. Last time there was a special release I dithered about the price and ultimately did not purchase. So when I saw this I had to go for it despite the expense. It’s well packaged but the spice is gone. Not for me, disappointing.

I was excited about this fragrance as I have been searching for a true carnation scent. It’s a fine perfume albeit too powdery for my taste. It’s refined and mature, and perhaps not as focused on carnation as I would prefer.
