Elite ist seit seiner Kreation im Jahr 1979 durch den verstorbenen Michael Bodenham ein Favorit der Floris-Familie und ein Duft, den man immer wieder genießen kann. Benannt nach „Lotion Elite“ – einer Aftershave-Creme von Floris, die 1851 erstmals in unserem Katalog erschien. Elite war zunächst ein Spätzünder im Floris-Sortiment und zeigt, dass sich Geduld in der Kunst der Parfümherstellung wirklich auszahlt. Obwohl es einige treue Anhänger behielt, wuchs im Laufe der 1980er Jahre seine Bewundererschaft, sowohl im Inland als auch auf dem ganzen Kontinent, da die Exporte nach Europa zunahmen.

Elite ist inzwischen zu einer Ikone der Floris Signature-Kollektion geworden. Es hat eine zweite Heimat unter Anhängern auf der ganzen Welt gefunden, insbesondere in Italien, wo der Duft immer stärker wurde und auch heute, 40 Jahre nach seiner Markteinführung, noch immer beliebt ist.

    Quintessentially British

    I found the opening to be quite brash, but it dried down quickly and became an absolute fascination to me. I could not stop sniffing it quietly on my wrist. Several hours later it seems to have settled into a suite, soft memory of itself. Still green and still with noticeable vetiver but an almost Gormont version of vetiver. Elite has tremendous saying power, and I could still smell it on me the next day! As a woman, I can see that this is masculine cent, but I had to try it out of curiosity as David Bowie wore it for decades. I will wear it, but I won’t leave the house until after it has dried down a bit. It is a particularly English fragrance and it reminds me of an Anglo, American neighbor when I was growing up, who had worked in the CIA, but also spent his summer days gardening.
